“Surjo is coming… With a tale of unseen bonds, hidden love, and unknown trust. Take a ride with Surjo in his amazing journey. Trailer out now.,” Vikram Chatterjee wrote on X alongside the video.

The two-and-a-half-minute long trailer begins with Madhumita’s character quitting her corporate job in Kolkata and moving base to north Bengal. There she rents an apartment and comes across paintings and sketches by the previous tenant. She is enamoured by the enigma surrounding this man.

The trailer goes on to showcase a montage of the various moods of this mysterious person played by Vikram Chatterjee. He is described as a good samaritan who always helps people in need. As Madhumita’s character searches for him, she gradually falls in love with the idea of him.

The original Malayalam movie depicted the intertwining journeys of Tessa (Parvathy), Charlie (Dulquer Salmaan), and Kani (Aparna Gopinath). It traced the profound impacts they had on each other’s lives.

In Surjo, Vikram steps into the role of Charlie, renamed Surjo, while Madhumita plays Tessa and Darshana portrays the character of Kani.
