Suriya 42

On Friday late evening, Studio Green dropped the motion poster of Tamil superstar Suriya’s upcoming project, tentatively titled Suriya 42. Helmed by Siva, the fantasy action adventure will also star Bollywood actress Disha Patani in the lead role opposite Suriya.

The one-minute-31-second-long video gave us a glimpse of the larger-than-life visuals of an action epic set in the past. The motion poster was backed by Devi Sri Prasad’s energetic music. The film’s visuals have piqued the interest of the viewers as it promises a grand spectacle.

The film is being made in 3D and it will be released in 10 languages.

Hocus Pocus 2

Walt Disney Studios released the highly-anticipated trailer of Hocus Pocus 2 as part of Disney’s D23 Expo 2022 event on Saturday. It is a sequel to the 1993 fantasy comedy film Hocus Pocus.

Directed by Anne Fletcher, Hocus Pocus 2 brings back the iconic trio of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as three witches known as the Sanderson Sisters.

The one-minute-56-long trailer shows us that it’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century Sanderson sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now, it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before the dawn of Halloween.

Disney+ Hotstar will stream Hocus Pocus 2 from September 30.

Disenchanted

During Disney’s D23 Expo 2022 event on Saturday, Walt Disney Studios dropped the official trailer of their upcoming live-action musical comedy Disenchanted. Starring Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, Idina Menzel and James Marsden in the lead roles, the film also features Maya Rudolph, Gabriella Baldacchino, Yvette Nicole Brown and Jayma Mays.

The almost two-minute-long trailer shows Giselle (Adams) and Robert (Dempsey) moving their growing family to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville in search of a more fairy-tale life. Things become complicated when Malvina Monroe (Rudolph) makes Giselle feel more out of place than ever. Giselle turns to magic, which turns her family life upside-down.

Directed by Adam Shankman from a screenplay by Brigitte Hales. Oscar winners Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz score the music.

Disenchanted will be streaming on Disney+ from November 24.

Dhokha: Round D Corner

T-Series on Saturday released the official trailer of R Madhavan’s upcoming thriller Dhokha: Round D Corner. Apart from the Tanu Weds Manu actor, the film also features Aparshakti Khurana, Darshan Kumar and debutant Khushali Kumar in prominent roles.

The two-minute-43-second-long trailer gives us a glimpse of the main characters as it follows an urban couple’s (played by Madhavan and Kaushali) bumpy journey after the woman is held hostage by a terrorist, played by Aparshakti. However, everything is not how it looks. The trailer promises a wild psychological thriller that will play with the minds of the audience.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Dharmendra Sharma and Vikrant Sharma, the film is directed by Kookie Gulati and is slated to hit the theatres on September 23.

Little Things S5

Dice Media on Friday evening announced that Little Things Season 5 is coming soon. The hugely popular romantic comedy series is created by Dhruv Sehgal and stars him opposite Mithila Palkar in the lead role. The last four seasons are currently streaming on Netflix.
