Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire actor Prithviraj Sukumaran’s wife Supriya Menon has shared behind-the-scenes pictures of her with Prabhas and Prithviraj from the sets of Prashanth Neel’s latest actioner.
Sharing a reel containing stills from the sets of Salaar on Instagram, Supriya wrote, “Beautiful throwback from Salaar shoot location with @actorprabhas garu & Tinnu Anand Sir and my amazing husband @therealprithvi!”
“Can’t wait to see the magic unfold on screens on Dec 22nd! Don’t miss this action drama,” the 38-year-old journalist added.
The reel contains pictures of Supriya accompanying Prithviraj and Prabhas on the sets, and interacting with Tinu Anand during breaks. In the first picture, we see the couple sitting alongside Prabhas. The background shows the streets of Khansaar and the video is set to a tune of Ravi Basrur, Krishna Kanth and Harini Ivaturi’s Sooreede from the film.
Later, after the release of the film on Friday, Supriya shared two more pictures from the shoot location and penned a heartfelt note. “With my favourite Varada Raja Mannar! @therealprithvi ❤️ What an absolute joy it was to watch Salaar! Stellar performances all around and amazing music, art direction and cinematography to boot,” she wrote, before heaping praise on Prashanth — “it is your world and we are just living in it”.
She also lauded actor Prabhas, saying that she was in awe of his performance as Prithviraj’s childhood friend.
In the first picture, Prithviraj stands beside Supriya with his hand on her shoulders. The 41-year-old actor sports his grey-and-black outfit from the film, while Supriya wears a cream-coloured long frock. The couple sit and pose for the camera in front of a pottery store on the sets.
Helmed by KGF director Prashanth, the film marks Malayalam star Prithviraj’s Telugu debut. Also starring Eshwari Rao and Sriya Reddy, Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire hit theatres on Friday in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
The film has emerged as the biggest opener of 2023, amassing Rs 95 crore in India on Day 1, beating blockbusters like Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan.
