Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 whizzed past Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan to become the fastest Bollywood film to cross the Rs 450-crore milestone on its 17th day in theatres, collecting a total of Rs 457.15 crore nett since its release, according to Box Office India figures.

Previously, Pathaan held the record of fastest Hindi film to collect Rs 450 crore in theatres in 18 days. S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 (Hindi version) is the only other Hindi film to have achieved this milestone. The Prabhas-starrer took 20 days to join the coveted club.

Gadar 2 has also surpassed the lifetime collections (Rs 434 crore nett) of Yash-starrer K.G.F. - Chapter 2 (Hindi) in India to emerge as the third-highest grossing Hindi film of all time. Pathaan (Rs 543 crore nett) and Hindi-dubbed version of Baahubali 2 (Rs 510 crore nett) occupy the top two positions.

The Sunny Deol-starrer registered a phenomenal opening day collection of Rs 40.10 crore nett and minted Rs 284 crore nett in its first week. The film earned Rs 420 crore nett at the end of its second week in theatres. Despite slowing down at the box office on Day 15 with a collection of Rs 7.10 crore nett on Friday, the action-entertainer picked up pace over the third weekend, minting Rs 13.75 crore nett on Saturday, followed by Rs 17.20 crore nett on Sunday.

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar-starrer OMG 2 managed to rake in Rs 135 crore nett at the domestic box office so far. The Amit Rai-helmed satirical comedy, also featuring Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi in key roles, earned Rs 6.80 crore nett during the third weekend.
