Although its momentum has since waned, the movie still managed to end its third week with a commendable Rs 483 crore nett in collections.
The sequel to Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which had collected Rs 76.88 crore domestically, Gadar 2 brought back the on-screen pairing of Sunny Deol as Tara Singh and Ameesha Patel as Sakeena. The sequel focuses on Tara Singh's return to Pakistan to rescue his son Charanjeet (Utkarsh Sharma) after the latter finds himself on the wrong side of the border.
On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl 2 has accumulated Rs 92 crore nett since its release on August 25, while Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 managed to earn Rs 148.27 crore nett in 26 days since its release.
