Gadar 2's box office rampage failed to knock Pathaan off its perch as the Sunny Deol-starrer came a close second to Shah Rukh Khan's spy thriller in terms of Week 2 box office collections for a Bollywood movie.

While Gadar 2 went on to rake in Rs 420 crore at the end of its second week in theatres, Pathan had managed to collect Rs 440 crore nett in two weeks during its runtime, according to Box Office India figures.

Opening with Rs 40.10 crore nett on August 11, the Anil Sharma directorial grossed Rs 284 crore nett at the domestic box office in its first week. The actioner added another Rs 116 crore nett to its kitty in the second week.

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar-starrer OMG 2 ended its second week of theatrical run by minting Rs 126.5 crore nett so far. The Amit Rai-helmed satirical comedy, featuring Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi in significant roles, had earned Rs 85 crore nett at the end of Week 1.

Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher-starrer Ghoomer proved to be a disaster at the domestic box office. The R. Balki directorial could only manage to mint a meagre Rs 4.86 crore nett in its first week of theatrical run.
