Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 raced towards the Rs 400-crore mark on its 11th day in theatres, continuing its box office triumph over other recent Bollywood releases like OMG 2 and Ghoomer, according to Box Office India figures.

Gadar 2’s Monday collection stands at Rs 13.50 crore nett, taking its total earning to Rs 388.60 crore nett in India so far. After minting Rs 284 crore nett in its first week, the actioner maintained the momentum by raking in Rs 20 crore nett on its second Friday, followed by Rs 71.57 crore nett during its second weekend.

The Anil-Sharma helmed movie is giving tough competition to Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, the first blockbuster hit of 2023, in terms of being the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year. Also featuring Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma, Gadar 2 has already beaten the 10-day collection of Siddharth Anand’s spy action thriller, even though Pathaan held its fort when it comes to the Day 11 collection (Rs 397 crore nett) for a Bollywood film released this year.

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar-starrer OMG 2 minted Rs 3.75 crore nett on its second Monday, taking the film’s 11-day collection to Rs 117.42 crore nett. The Amit Rai-helmed satirical comedy, also featuring Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi, began its second week in the cinemas with a collection of Rs 5.50 crore nett on Friday, followed by Rs 23.28 crore over the second weekend.
