Bobby Deol couldn’t hold back tears as his elder brother Sunny Deol got emotional while talking about a surprise resurgence of their acting careers in a promo video of the upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, dropped by Netflix on Tuesday.
Talking about how they were not hitting the right mark despite their best efforts, Sunny said, “We have been in the limelight since the 1960s. But things just weren’t just falling into place lately despite our very best efforts.”
The actor became emotional while talking about the tremendous success witnessed by the Deol family last year, beginning with his film Gadar 2, his father Dharmendra’s film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Bobby’s Animal.
“My son got married and then Gadar 2 was released. Before that dad’s film got released (Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani). After that Animal was released and it looked like we really nailed it,” he added, making Bobby teary-eyed.
The teaser also highlights Sunny and Bobby’s bond as the latter called his brother “superman”. “Even in real life, if someone is strong like Superman, it has to be him,” Bobby said about Sunny, who chose to call himself Baahubali.
The two brothers also talked about their relationship with Dharmendra. “Dad says, ‘Come sit with me, be my friend.’ I'm like, ‘Dad, you ask us to be friends, but when I tell you things as a friend, you behave like a dad,” Sunny said, making everyone on the set burst into laughter.
At the end of the video, Bobby talked about their big family and how they live with each other. “The Deols are very romantic. Our hearts are never full,” he signed off on a lighter note, promising a rollicking episode featuring the Deol brothers on Saturday at 8pm.
