Actor Suniel Shetty reunited with his Hera Pheri co-stars Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal in Mumbai on Monday, prompting speculation about a third instalment to the hit comedy franchise.

“The Dhoom Dhadaka Orchestra is Back!!! But no Hera Pheri this time…just all out Kudo Action! 👊🔥Off to the 16th Akshay Kumar Kudo International Tournament! @akshaykumar @pareshrawalofficial @kifi.association,” the 63-year-old actor wrote alongside a video featuring the trio.

Suniel and Paresh joined Akshay at an event hosted by the latter’s Martial Arts Academy. While Akshay sported a black satin shirt and white-and-brown chequered trousers, Suniel wore a cream t-shirt and matching pants. Paresh, on the other hand, went for a blue printed shirt and deep blue pants.

Fans took to the comments section and expressed their excitement over the trio’s reunion. “Fir hogi hera feri,” one of them wrote. “Iconic and Evergreen Trio,” wrote another fan. “Eagerly waiting for Welcome and Hera Pheri,” another fan commented.

Akshay, Suniel and Paresh are collaborating on Ahmed Khan’s Welcome to The Jungle. The upcoming comedy film also features Disha Patani, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, Rajpal Yadav and Johny Lever.

Hera Pheri 3 is the much-anticipated third instalment of the iconic Bollywood comedy franchise Hera Pheri, which began in 2000. Starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty in lead roles, Hera Pheri became a cult classic, with the first film emerging as a sleeper hit and earning around Rs 18 crores worldwide. Its sequel, Phir Hera Pheri (2006), grossed approximately Rs 70 crore globally.

Akshay will be next seen in Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur’s Sky Force, which also stars Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan. He will also feature in Housefull 5 alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Sanjay Dutt.
