Actor Suniel Shetty penned a heartfelt note for his son-in-law K.L. Rahul on the Team India cricketer’s 32nd birthday on Thursday alongside a picture of the two lounging with Suniel’s son Ahan Shetty.
"They say it's not what we have in life, but who we have in our life that matters... feeling blessed to have you in ours for it's a connection I can't explain... happy birthday Rahul... love you son," the 62-year-old wrote alongside the photo featuring the trio in casual wear.
After dating for almost four years, Rahul tied the knot with Suniel’s daughter Athiya Shetty on January 23, 2023.
The actress also wished Rahul on his special day. “My whole heart for my whole life… happy birthday my everything,” Athiya captioned her post.
Recalling his first meeting with KL Rahul, Suniel Shetty said during his appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show last year, "I had the pleasure of meeting Rahul first at an airport and was thrilled to learn that he was from Mangalore, my hometown. As a big fan of his, I was happy to see that he was doing well and was a good player."
Rahul is currently leading Lucknow Super Giants in the 2024 Indian Premier League.
Suniel Shetty will appear in Hera Pheri 3, the third instalment of the 2000 blockbuster comedy Hera Pheri. The filming is likely to begin by the end of this year.
