His oeuvre contains the stuff one would still listen to while cruising down a freeway, perhaps in a classic automobile. Adams has had the longest unbroken run at number one in the UK with (Everything I Do) I Do It for You, which spent 16 consecutive weeks there in 1991.
India is no stranger to him because he has been here several times. Here, almost every song of the Canadian singer-songwriter is a hit. So it makes perfect sense that the man will be on a five-date tour of India in October. He will be here as part of the Ultimate Tour in support of his compilation album, Ultimate, which has 19 classics — including (Everything I Do) I Do It for You, Please Forgive Me, 18 Til I Die and Run To You — and two new tracks — Ultimate Love and Please Stay.
While he remains a big draw on the concert circuit, he has also devoted much of his time to photography - frames on British war veterans injured in Afghanistan and Iraq and the Queen posing near muddy rubber boots. He has trained his camera on countless celebrities, from Cindy Crawford to Michael J. Fox, Amy Winehouse to Priyanka Chopra.
