Guntur Kaaram actress Sreeleela is set to appear in a dance number, Kissik, for Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming action drama sequel Pushpa: The Rule, the makers announced on Sunday.
Sharing a poster of the song, the makers wrote, “Team #Pushpa2TheRule welcomes The Dancing Queen @sreeleela14 on board for the #Kissik Song of the Year. This song is going to be a dance feast and a musical delight. GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 5th DECEMBER, 2024.”
Sreeleela, 23, predominantly works in Telugu and Kannada films.
In the poster, she sports a sparkling, traditional Indian outfit with a modern twist—a black lehenga-style skirt with intricate silver embellishments and a matching crop top adorned with mirror work. This special song is expected to create the same excitement as Oo Antava from the first Pushpa movie, featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Sreeleela rose to fame with the Telugu film Guntur Kaaram, sharing the screen with Mahesh Babu. The film was released on January 12.
Apart from Allu and Rashmika, Pushpa 2: The Rule also stars Fahadh Faasil in an important role. Written and directed by Sukumar, the film also features Dhanunjay, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Ajay Ghosh.
The first-look teaser of the film, released on April 8, shows Allu’s sari-clad Pushpa Raj fighting off goons. The teaser highlights a Jaathara sequence, also known as the Sammakka Saralamma Jaathara, a festival celebrated in Telangana to honour tribal goddesses. This four-day festival draws millions of devotees each year.
Pushpa 2 is the sequel to Sukumar’s 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise, which became a massive box-office success across India.
The film's music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, while Miroslaw Kuba Brozek has handled the cinematography, contributing to the movie's immersive visual and auditory experience.
