Netflix has released a new teaser for Squid Game Season 2, showing the return of Gong Yoo’s mysterious Salesman.

In Season 1, Salesman recruited Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) into the Squid Game by challenging him to a game of Ddakji at a subway station and offering him a mysterious card with a phone number.

The new teaser, shared by the streamer on Monday, provides viewers with a look at Salesman’s daily life. It opens with him going through a morning routine: showering, dressing and preparing for the day ahead. He eventually makes his way to a subway station and initiates the recruitment process once again, offering an unseen individual the opportunity to play Ddakji. This is the same location where he initially encountered Gi-hun.

Squid Game Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on December 26. It will return for a third and final season in 2025.

In Season 1 of Squid Game, Gi-hun, a struggling gambler, is invited to participate in a series of children's games with a huge cash prize at stake. He joins 455 other desperate participants at a secret location, where they are constantly monitored by masked guards in pink jumpsuits. The games are controlled by the enigmatic Front Man, and the players soon discover that losing means death. Gi-hun teams up with others, including his childhood friend Cho Sang-woo (Park Hae-soo) and defector Kang Sae-byeok (Jung Ho-yeon), in an effort to survive.

“Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 remains determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their vicious sport. Using this fortune to fund his search, Gi-hun starts with the most obvious of places: look for the man in a sharp suit playing Ddakji in the subway. But when his efforts finally yield results, the path toward taking down the organisation proves to be deadlier than he imagined: to end the game, he needs to re-enter it,” reads the official synopsis for Season 2.

Returning cast members for Season 2 include Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Gong Yoo, and Wi Ha-jun. New additions to the Squid Game Season 2 cast are Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Jo Yu-ri, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-uk, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won and Won Ji-an.
