Spirited

Apple TV+ has released the official trailer of its upcoming Christmas special fantasy comedy film Spirited, which stars Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer. The movie has been directed by Sean Anders, who previously helmed Daddy’s Home and Instant Family

The trailer is based on the familiar story of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens where a spirit reforms a dark soul on Christmas Eve. Ferrell plays the spirit that is trying to reform Reynolds. But the spirit falls for Spencer’s character in the film. We also see several dance sequences, starting with both Reynolds and Ferrell.

Spirited will arrive on Apple TV+ on November 18.

Hit: The Second Case

The teaser of Telugu star Adivi Sesh’s upcoming film Hit: The Second Case was unveiled by the makers on Thursday. A sequel to Hit: The First Case, this movie has been written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, who will resume his role from the first movie. It also features Meenakshi, Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani, Posani Krishna Murali, Komalee Prasad, Srinath Maganti and Srikanth Iyengar.

In the trailer, we see Adivi as an arrogant police officer in the homicide intervention team who is in search of an interesting case in Visakhapatnam. Things take a turn for the worst when he finds a brutally murdered woman. A Bollywood remake of Hit: The First Case, starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, was released a few months back.

Hit 2 will arrive in the cinemas on December 2.

Wonder Women

The trailer of Malayalam filmmaker Anjali Menon’s upcoming film Wonder Women has been released by Sony Liv. Starring Nadiya Moidu, Nithya Menen, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Padmapriya, Sayanora Phillip, Archana Padmini and Amruta Subhash, the movie is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Ashi Dua Sara.

The trailer takes us through a special prenatal class for expecting mothers from various social and geographical backgrounds. The synopsis reads, “A tale of pregnant women who meet at a prenatal class and stumble on far more than they expect!”

Wonder Women will be streaming on Sony Liv from November 18.

Tadka

Zee5 on Thursday dropped the official trailer of actor-turned-director Prakash Raj’s long unreleased film Tadka. It stars Nana Patekar, Shriya Sadan, Tapsee Pannu and Ali Faizal in lead roles. It is the official remake of the 2011’s Malayalam hit movie Salt N’ Pepper.

The one-minute-long trailer revolves around an old-school middle-aged cook (Nana), who is forced to search for a bride but cannot speak to women. A call from a wrong number suddenly changes his life as he falls in love. Food plays an important role in the story.

Tadka will premiere on Zee5 on November 4.
