As Marvel fans gear up to see Miles Morales in action in the sequel to the animated 2018 film Spider-Man: Into The Spider Verse, there are five other English, Hindi and Bengali films hitting the cinemas this week. Here’s all you need to know.
Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse (English)

The highly-anticipated sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse continues the story of Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore), who is an alternate version of Spider-Man from a parallel universe. Miles reunites with Gwen Stacy (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld), also known as Spider-Woman in her own universe, and they swing through various dimensions, encountering different versions of Spider-Man (voiced by Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Karan Soni, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni and Oscar Isaac) from alternate realities.
However, faced with a new threat, the superheroes clash with each other over ways to deal with the situation.
To Catch A Killer (English)

Eleanor (Shailene Woodley), a young and talented member of the Baltimore Police Department, finds herself grappling with her personal demons from the past. In a surprising turn of events, Lammark (Ben Mendelsohn), the FBI's leading investigator, approaches her to seek assistance in profiling and capturing a sniper responsible for a string of seemingly unrelated mass shootings. A nationwide manhunt is underway by both the police and the FBI, but the killer's extraordinary actions constantly impede their progress. Due to her own troubled state of mind, Eleanor emerges as the sole individual capable of comprehending the assailant's psyche and bringing him to justice.
The Boogeyman (English)

Sadie Harper (Sophie Thatcher), a high-school student, and her younger sister, Sawyer (Vivien Lyra Blair), are deeply affected by the recent loss of their mother. However, their already distressed lives take an even more sinister turn when an anxious patient arrives at their home seeking assistance. Unbeknownst to them, this encounter unleashes a horrifying supernatural presence that targets families and thrives on the anguish of those it preys upon.
Ardhangini (Bengali)

Following Suman's (Kaushik Sen) accident, his two female companions — his wife Meghna (Jaya Ahsan) and ex-wife Subhra (Churni Ganguly) — find themselves in a situation where they are compelled to confront each other. Ardhangini centers around the uncomfortable emotional clash between the two women during a period of personal turmoil.
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (Hindi)
Directed by: Laxman Utekar
Cast: Vicky Kaushal, Sara Ali Khan, Inaamulhaq and Sushmita Mukherjee
Kapil (Vicky Kaushal) and Saumya (Sara Ali Khan) are a newly-married couple who live in a joint family in Indore. Much to the shock of the family members, they decide to file for a divorce soon after their wedding. While the relatives are led to believe that the romance in their marriage fizzled out, there is a twist in the tale. The duo are very much in love but pretend to be at loggerheads with each other because they have very little privacy at home. How they drive home their point to the traditionalist family forms the crux of the story.
Chidiakhana (Hindi)

Chidiakhana revolves around Sooraj (Ritvik Sahore), a young boy from Bihar who has migrated to Mumbai along with his mother Bibha (Rajeshwari Sachdev). Life in the big city comes with its share of challenges as Sooraj faces a gang of bullies in school, who create hurdles for Sooraj in his struggle to become a footballer. How Sooraj battles against all odds to follow his passion forms the crux of the plot.
