Sonam Kapoor is vacationing in the Maldives with husband Anand Ahuja, son Vayu and sister Rhea Kapoor. Here’s a look at some of the moments from the family getaway.
Sonam penned a note highlighting Vayu’s joy in discovering the wonders of nature. She described their trip as a “magical” retreat that has not only rejuvenated them but also filled them with a deeper sense of gratitude towards nature and each other. "This holiday has reminded us of the importance of family time, of slowing down and savouring each moment together," the actress added.
A picture shows Sonam playing games with her two-year-old son Vayu on the beach. In her caption, the Neerja actress noted how they were swept away by the island’s scenic beauty during their stay in the Maldives. "The turquoise waters, soft white sands, and vibrant coral reefs created a stunning backdrop for our family adventures. Every sunrise felt like a gift, reminding us of the beauty in each new day," she wrote.
Sonam looked stunning in a black swimsuit paired with an oversized denim jacket. The 39-year-old actress last appeared in Shome Makhija’s 2023 crime thriller Blind.
Sonam enjoyed the gentle ocean breeze in a vibrant pink-and-purple beachwear. She shared how the trip was a perfect blend of fun, exploration and family bonding. “Our days were filled with laughter, exploration, and togetherness. Whether we were snorkeling among colorful fish, enjoying beach games, or simply relaxing by the pool, each moment was a cherished memory in the making,” Sonam wrote.
Rhea’s husband, producer Karan Boolani, also accompanied them on the trip. Rhea and Karan tied the knot in 2021 after 12 years of dating. In the picture, Karan is seen spending quality time with Vayu.
Rhea relaxed on a beach chair in a green co-ord set. Her latest production venture Crew, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon and Tabu, has emerged as the third highest-grossing film of the year, earning over Rs 150 crore worldwide.
Sonam channelled her inner fashionista in a brown bralette paired with a green skirt. A green jacket and a statement neckpiece complemented her chic look, while black shades and a tassel bag rounded it off. Sonam exchanged vows with businessman Anand Ahuja in a traditional Sikh ceremony in Bandra, Mumbai, on May 8, 2018. They welcomed their son Vayu in August 2022.
Sonam and Vayu enjoyed their time at an eatery overlooking the ocean. “In the evenings, we gathered for meals that delighted our taste buds and nourished our souls. Sharing stories under the stars, with the sound of waves in the background, created a sense of peace and unity that we’ll carry with us long after returning home,” wrote Sonam in her note.
