Actress Sonam Kapoor shared a video montage, which comes with the titular track of her 2010 film Aisha, to wish her sister Rhea Kapoor on birthday on March 5.
“Happy happy birthday to my rhee bee… I think Javed uncle wrote this song for you.. all the qualities describing Aisha are you.,” Sonam captioned her post on Instagram on Tuesday.
The video montage includes childhood pictures of Rhea, a couple of snaps with their father Anil, throwback pictures of the two sisters together and a few stills, all unfolding to the rhythm of Amit Trivedi’s Suno Aisha.
In her note, the Veere Di Wedding actress went on to commend her sister’s skills as a producer and stylist. “Everything you touch becomes beautiful and I’m so glad you’re showcasing it through your movies and styling,” wrote Sonam, adding the lyrics of the Suno Aisha track underneath.
Sonam and Rhea’s father Anil Kapoor also took to Instagram to wish his younger daughter on her birthday. Sharing a picture of Rhea clad in white, the Fighter actor wrote, “On your special day, I find myself reflecting back on these past 6 months. What a rollercoaster ride this has been for you! Between the upcoming release of your film and those breathtaking looks you’ve been styling, I’ve seen firsthand how breathless and manic it’s been for you. But let me tell you, nobody handles it all with as much grace and talent as you do.”
Extending his love and best wishes to his daughter, the 67-year-old actor added, “As your dreams take flight and the world wises up to your brilliance, I just want to shower you with all my love and luck. I also hope you’ll find time to take some much deserved rest and recharge your batteries.”
The second picture of the carousel dropped by Anil shows Rhea being embraced by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon and Tabu – the lead cast of their upcoming production venture Crew. In a nod to the female-centric drama, slated to hit the screens on March 29, Anil wrote in his caption, “You’re on the brink of something truly magical, and I’m so proud to stand by your side through it all — cheering you on, supporting you, and just being here for you, no matter what.
Producer Boney Kapoor, elder brother of Anil, commented on the post, expressing his admiration for Rhea’s dedication and creativity. “Happy birthday to the most amazing , hardworking, innovative , creatively on top of your game be it film making, getting the best designing for all of your loved ones & amongst the best culinary curators, you manage the best for all palettes. I can go on about all your qualities, will go on adding more & more for all your coming birthdays,” he wrote under his brother’s post.
Rhea’s mother Sunita Kapoor and husband Karan Boolani also reacted to Anil’s post with heart emojis. Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra extended her warmest wishes to the birthday girl in the comment section.
