Actress Sonakshi Sinha has thanked actor-couple Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal in a note on Instagram for gifting her a kurta set from their fashion label Ehaab Couture during the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix series Heeramdi: The Diamond Bazaar.

“Ive been at shoot where I received this beautiful kurta set from @therichachadha and @alifazal9 with a lovely note,” wrote Sonakshi on Instagram alongside a set of pictures on Monday.

The pictures show Sonakshi in a teal-hued embroidered kurta set. She wore her hair down and opted for soft makeup to balance the look in the backdrop of the rising sun.

In her note, the Dahaad actress went on to talk about Ehaab Couture, the fashion label recently launched by Richa and Ali to employ female artisans. “I asked if it was @ehaabcouture…and she said yes and went on to tell me about it. They started @ehaabcouture as an effort to employ and empower female karigars during covid. Richa told me how self-respecting these women are and how they want to work themselves to earn a living,” she wrote.

The Bade Miyan Chote Miyan actress mentioned that the piece she received was among the first made by them and it had no label because the artisans were excited to know that it was made for her. “This particular piece had no label and she mentioned it was because it was one of the first pieces and that the karigars who made it were thrilled when they found out it was for me.”

The carousel shared by Sonakshi also includes a handwritten postcard from Richa. “I am happy we got to hang however little we did. You’re pure gold and you cat up every frame you’re in. This is from Ali and me. I just absolutely loved hanging with you,” reads her note to her Heeramandi co-star.

Deeply moved by the gesture shown by Richa and Ali, Sonakshi expressed her gratitude to the couple and the artisans who crafted the kurta for her. “Thank you Richa and Ali… I pray @ehaabcouture will give you and your artisans all that you hope for and more,” the actress signed off.

Richa reacted to Sonakshi’s post. “Such a thoughtful post and you look resplendent in it. Beautiful inside and out Sona...pure gold,” wrote the actress in the comments section below.

Manisha Koirala, one of the co-stars of Sonakshi and Richa in Heeramandi, also commented on the post. “It’s gorgeous,” she wrote. Dia Mirza also complimented Sonakshi on her outfit.
