Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal on June 23, has shared fresh photos from the wedding. One of the photos captures the couple listening to a voice note sent by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. Take a look.
The chemistry between the couple was palpable, with Zaheer recreating Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic arms-stretched-out pose and Sonakshi hugging him from behind. “Being filmy and making our own music (since 2017), here in the midst of getting our wedding photos clicked!! Pic 1 is now my wallpaper,” Sonakshi wrote alongside the photo on Instagram.
The couple posed in front of a mirror, with Zaheer watching Sonakshi get ready for the wedding. The Heeramandi actress chose a red Banarasi silk sari, accessorised with a white gajra and a kundan jewellery set for the wedding.
Zaheer, who chose a white kurta paired with white trousers for the wedding, leaned over Sonakshi from behind appearing to be smiling and whispering something into the actress’s ears.
The couple listened to a voice note sent by actor Shah Rukh Khan wishing them on their wedding. Sonakshi wrote alongside the picture, “listening to a voice note from his all time favorite SRK, sending us both so much love and good wishes for the big day… I think this was the highlight of @iamzahero’s day.”
The actress shared a glimpse of her emotional moment after seeing herself in sindoor in the mirror for the first time. “Bride also cried looking at herself in sindoor for the first time,” wrote Sonakshi.
Sonakshi shared a candid picture of her leaning on a door and smiling. She wrote, “Since bride was ready, she went to admire groom from afar who still wasn’t. I remember telling @sam_and_ekta who are the geniuses behind capturing all these moments “Isn't he supposed to be admiring me like this while I get ready?”
Sonakshi concluded her photo dump with two monochromatic pictures of her and Zaheer roaming around and gazing afar into the cityscape of Mumbai. “Minute to breathe and take a walk around the home we will build together What a day 23.06.2024,” the actress signed off.
