Actress Sobhita Dhulipala shared images from the last day of the Ponniyin Selvan: II shoot and penned an emotional note on Instagram on Friday, the day the final instalment of Mani Ratnam’s two-part epic period drama arrived in cinemas.

“Last shooting day of PS1 and 2. Post picture wrap.. Thank you for the love, for the memories, for the honour that it has been. I’m 😭 Romba romba nandri 🙏🏽,” wrote The Night Manager actress after sharing a bunch of images with co-star Aishwarya Lekshmi in full costume.

In the images and videos posted by the actress, she and Aishwarya Lekshmi, who plays the role of a boat woman named Poonguzhali a.k.a Samuthirakumari, are seen posing in various poses. “Nooooooooooooooo! This was not supposed to go public 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶,” Aishwarya Lekshmi commented below Sobhita’s post.

In Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, Shobita plays the role of Vaanathi, the princess of Kodumbalur and Chola princess Kundavai’s close friend. Apart from Shobita and Aishwarya Lekshmi, the two-part film series also stars Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar.

Sobhita will be next seen in the second part of Disney+Hotstar’s espionage series The Night Manager alongside Aditya Roy Kapur and Anil Kapoor. She will also reprise her role as Tara Khanna in the second season of Prime Video’s drama series Made in Heaven and American action thriller film Monkey Man opposite Dev Patel.
