“I have received positive responses on the film so far. This was my first film in Calcutta. So, I was more concerned about people’s opinions about my performance. Thankfully, I have received all positive feedback on my performance as Mayaa,” said Rafiath Rashid Mithila.

(L-R) Tnusree C. “People really loved watching me as Lady Macbeth. They specially appreciated me for the scene where Michael was beating me up and the transformation of the character at the end. All the characters were unpredictable and that is what people loved about the film,” said Tnusree.
Richa Sharma. “As a non-Bong actor, I got the maximum appreciation in my career from the Bengali audience. I have worked with Raajhorshee in five films. Mayaa helped me to explore myself as an actress further,” said Richa.
Mallika Banerjee and Maaya director Raajhorshee De. “Adapting Macbeth for Bengali cinema is a mammoth task and directing 19 actors isn’t easy either. They are all great and super in their own ways. It is my honour that they work with me and love me. I felt that the taste of the cinema hall-going audience has changed, not the OTT audience. So, the storytelling has to be different. I believe that my next film will tell a completely different story. Sada Ronger Prithibi will be very controversial but it will be very human,” said Raajhorshee.
