Netflix on Wednesday dropped a teaser for Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming thriller Sikandar ka Muqaddar starring Avinash Tiwary, Jimmy Shergill, Tamannaah Bhatia and Divya Dutta.

“60 crore ke heere chori. Ek lambi talaash. Aur ek inspector jo nahi maanega haar. (A theft of diamonds worth Rs 60 crore, a prolonged search, and an inspector who refuses to give up). Sikandar ka Muqaddar, coming soon, only on Netflix,” wrote the streaming platform, summing up the film’s plot on social media.

Set to a pulsating background score, the video shows the crew preparing the set. Tamannaah is seen dressed as a journalist, while Divya appears inexplicably distraught. The teaser also hints at a face-off between Avinash and Jimmy. “Your biopic is titled Sikandar ka Muqaddar and I am its director,” says Jimmy, seemingly addressing Avinash’s character.

The upcoming thriller is expected to star Jimmy as a gritty cop, reminiscent of his role in Jayprad Desai’s Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba.

According to IMDb, Sikandar ka Muqaddar also features Amrita Kumari, Ashutosh Kushwaha, Anil Pandey, Abhishek Mishra, Allinson Louis Aranha and Anupam K. Sinha in key roles.

While Avinash last starred in Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut Madgaon Express, Tamannaah has the supernatural thriller Odela 2 in the pipeline. Divya, on the other hand, is gearing up for Laxman Utekar’s historical epic film Chhaava, fronted by Vicky Kaushal.
