Sightless Sonam Kapoor pits her wits against Purab Kohli’s canny killer in Blind trailer

Directed by Shome Makhija, the film will be streaming free on JioCinema from July 7

Sonam Kapoor’s visually-impaired character becomes involved in a cat-and-mouse chase with Purab Kohli’s serial killer in JioCinema’s Blind trailer, promising an edge-of-the-seat crime thriller.

Dropped by the makers on June 29, the two-minute-long trailer begins with a girl being manhandled by a person in an empty mansion in the British countryside. We then see Sonam Kapoor, a blind girl, going to the police with information about the girl. She narrates that a cab she boarded last night had someone in the trunk and expressed her suspicion about the cab driver (Purab Kohli). Though the Indian-origin police officer (Vinay Pathak) was reluctant to accept her words, he eventually warms up to her deduction skills. With Sonam on his track, the killer returns the favour by stalking and threatening her. Watch the trailer here:

On Thursday, JioCinema took to Instagram to share the trailer with the caption, “It’s her against the evil that's waiting for her in the darkness. TRAILER OUT NOW! Watch #BlindOnJioCinema, streaming free 7 July onwards.”

Directed by Shome Makhija, the gritty crime drama, which marks Sonam’s return to movies four years after The Zoya Factor (2019),

is a remake of 2011’s South Korean thriller film helmed by Ahn Sang-hoon. It also features Lilette Dubey and Shubham Saraf.

Blind will be streaming free on JioCinema from July 7.
