Deceased Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's second posthumous song Vaar, which talks about Punjabi pride and valour, was released on Tuesday on the occasion of Guru Purab.
The two-minute-18-second song, which highlights the bravery of commander-in-chief of Sikh Khalsa Fauj Hari Singh Nalwa, gathered over 3.3 million views in hardly two hours since its release. The song had more than 8.80 lakh likes on YouTube by the time this report was filed.
The release was announced via Moosewala’s Instagram account which is now handled by his family members.
This is Moosewala’s second song released posthumously. The first posthumous song SYL was banned on YouTube after official complaints against it.
Moosewala was shot dead on May 29, 2022 at a location close to his hometown Mansa.
Two weeks before his passing, the rapper had released The last ride as a tribute to American rapper Tupac who was killed by gangsters in 1996.
