Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malavika Mohanan-starrer action drama Yudhra will hit theatres on September 20, producer Farhan Akhtar announced on Monday, sharing a set of posters on social media.
“Anger has a new name. #Yudhra coming to screens near you on 20th September,” wrote Farhan on Instagram.
The posters feature Siddhant in a bloodied avatar. In one of them, he holds a gun in one hand and a lollipop in the other. Another poster shows Siddhant embracing Malavika, whose back is stained with blood.
The official synopsis of Yudhra on IMDb reads, “Action-packed ride with romance and drama involved.” The film is expected to explore a lover’s wrath.
Farhan has co-produced the film with Ritesh Sidhwani. Besides, he has co-written the dialogues for the film with Akshat Ghildial. While Farhan’s father Javed Akhtar serves as the lyricist, Shankar Ehsaan Loy has composed the music for the upcoming film.
Yudhra is directed by Ravi Udyawar and also stars Kill actor Raghav Juyal in a key role.
On the work front, Siddhant will also appear in Shazia Iqbal’s Dhadak 2 alongside Triptii Dimri. Malavika, on the other hand, is currently working on P. S. Mithran’s spy action thriller Sardar 2.
Farhan recently announced that his upcoming single Reach For The Stars will drop on August 29. The 50-year-old actor-producer is also gearing up for his upcoming film Don 3, which stars Ranveer Singh in the titular role with Kiara Advani playing the female lead.
