Actor Shreyas Talpade underwent angioplasty at Mumbai’s Bellevue Hospital after he suffered a heart attack on Thursday evening, according to sources close to the actor.
The Golmaal Again actor was shooting for his upcoming film Welcome to the Jungle the entire day. He complained of being uneasy after returning home and was rushed to the hospital.
However, Shreyas is now faring better and will be discharged from the hospital soon, the sources said.
Shreyas gained recognition for his role in the critically acclaimed 2005 film Iqbal, where he played the lead role of a deaf-and-mute cricketer. Some of his notable films include Dor (2006), Om Shanti Om (2007), and Welcome to Sajjanpur (2008). He is also known for his performances in the Golmaal franchise.
The actor made his directorial debut with the Marathi film Poster Boys in 2017, which was a remake of the 2014 Marathi film Poshter Boyz. Apart from featuring Shreyas, the film also starred Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.
Shreyash’s upcoming project, Welcome to the Jungle, has a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Johny Lever and Jacqueline Fernandez. He will be next seen in Kangana Ranaut's directorial Emergency, where he plays former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
