According to the official website of the music streaming platform, Spotify’s Equal Global Music Program started in 2021 with the aim of contributing to gender equity in the music industry by amplifying and celebrating the work of women creators around the world.

I sincerely pray for the respect and safety of women in this world, not just our country. I am hopeful my friends and fans will accept and understand our decision to push this concert,” Shreya said in a statement on social media.

She appeared as a guest along with Sonu Nigam on the September 20 episode of the Amitabh Bachchan-hosted quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16.
