Shraddha Kapoor recently hosted a red-themed party to celebrate the record-breaking success of Stree 2 with crew members Shraddha Naik, Maahek Nair, Namrata Deepak and Nikita Menon. Here’s a look.
Clad in a red bodycon dress, Shraddha posed with a bunch of red balloons. Also starring Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana, the Amar Kaushik-directed film features Shraddha as an unnamed sorceress who teams up with Rajkummar’s character to defeat the headless monster Sarkata.
The fifth instalment in Maddock Films’ supernatural comedy universe, Stree 2 emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi movie of all time at the domestic box office last week, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. “Jashn ka vatavaran. With the most inspiring and wonderful Strees in my life—my Magic Girls,” wrote Shraddha on Instagram on Monday.
Shraddha participated in a cake-cutting ceremony with other crew members. Released theatrically on August 15, Stree 2 has already raked in Rs 689 crore nett at the domestic box office, according to industry data-tracking site Sacnilk. The horror-comedy also features cameo appearances by Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia.
Stree 2 is backed by Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios. The original 2018 film recounted how Shraddha’s character acquired the powers of Stree.
The 37-year-old actress shared a selfie flaunting her golden bracelet. She is expected to headline Vishal Furia’s upcoming film Naagin.
