Shraddha Kapoor’s power-hungry witch and Rajkummar Rao’s Vicky are back in Stree 2 teaser, also featuring Pankaj Tripathi and Tamannaah Bhatia , dropped by the makers on Tuesday.
The video showcases spine-chilling moments of Flora Saini’s vengeful spirit on the hunt for men again in Chanderi. It also introduces Tamannaah Bhatia as a dancer in the film. The subsequent scenes show the village men taking things into their own hands and going out at night to hunt down Stree.
There are scenes showing Rajkummar and Shraddha’s palpable on-screen chemistry. The teaser ends with Rajkummar’s Vicky standing in a dark alley, shivering in fear to turn back. When he turns around, we can see him getting attacked by a ghost.
“Iss baar Chanderi mein azaadi ke din hoga aatank! The legend returns this INDEPENDENCE DAY on 15th August,” Maddock Films wrote on Instagram alongside the teaser.
The upcoming movie is a sequel to the 2018 horror comedy Stree, set in a small town where an evil spirit named Stree abducts men at night during the festive season.
Also featuring Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana, the sequel is penned by the writer of the original movie Niren Bhatt and backed by Vijan and Jio Studios.
Helmed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is slated to release on August 15, the same day Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 will arrive in the cinemas.
