Actors Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik will appear as Sheldon and Amy in the finale episode of The Big Bang Theory’s spin-off series Young Sheldon, reveals a promo video on YouTube.
The video begins with Iain Armitage’s teenaged Sheldon removing a poster of Albert Einstein from his bedroom wall and attending a funeral, supposedly of his father, with his mother (Zoe Perry). At the end of the video, a grown-up Sheldon Cooper, played by Parsons, looks back on his childhood. “Looking back, that was the ultimate gift,” he tells his wife Amy Farrah Fowler.
“YOUNG SHELDON ends its seven-year run with a must-see two-episode series finale. Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik reprise their roles as Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler in an unforgettable hour of television, on the series finale of YOUNG SHELDON, Thursday, May 16th on CBS,” reads the description of the teaser shared on YouTube.
A few days back, the official Instagram page of the series dropped stills of Parsons and Bialik from the finale episode. They show Sheldon and Amy living a married life. While Sheldon works on his laptop, Amy takes a peek into the screen from the side.
“Unfortunately Sheldon hasn’t invented time travel yet, so we’ll just have to enjoy this sneak peek of the #YoungSheldon finale until next Thursday,” reads the caption of the post.
Young Sheldon follows the childhood journey of the quirky physicist we have come to love in Big Bang Theory, an American TV sitcom that clinched seven Emmy awards from 46 nominations.
