Shekhar Kapur’s new romcom What’s Love Got To Do With It? to hit Indian theatres in March

Starring Emma Thompson, Shabana Azmi, Lily James and Shazad Latif in lead roles, Shekhar Kapur’s new romantic comedy What’s Love Got To Do With It? hit theatres across the UK on Friday and will arrive in cinemas in India on March 3.

The film follows documentary filmmaker and dating app addict Zoe (Lily James) who travels from London to Lahore to film her childhood friend and neighbour Kaz’s (Shazad Latif) arranged marriage to a bright and beautiful bride from Pakistan. During the exhilarating journey, she begins to wonder if she might have something to learn from a profoundly different approach to finding love.

On Friday late evening, Shabana Azmi shared a photo with co-star Emma Thompson on social media from the film’s premiere event in the UK. “With Emma Thompson in Shekhar Kapur’s What’s love got to do with it . Releasing in theatres in the UK today,” she wrote in the caption.

Lily James also took to Instagram to share images from the event. “Made with such love. Happy to share it with you all! 💘 #whatslovegottodowithit,” the Baby Driver actress wrote.

What’s Love Got To Do With It? had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, 2022. It won the Ugo Tognazzi (best comedy) award at the Rome Film Festival on October 22, 2022.
