Munjya actress Sharvari Wagh has topped IMDb’s Popular Indian Celebrities Feature list this week, dethroning Deepika Padukone who previously secured the spot, the online entertainment database platform announced on Tuesday.
This feat comes on the heels of her performance as Bela in Aditya Sarpotdar’s latest horror-comedy Munjya and her special appearance in Netflix’s Maharaj. Deepika, who topped the list last week, is now at the second position.
Sharvari’s Maharaj co-stars Shalini Pandey, Jaideep Ahlawat and Junaid Khan secured the fifth, 10th and 12th positions, respectively.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Sharvari wrote, “Pinch me!!!!! This is an absolute dream.” Sharvari’s Munjya director Aditya Sarpotdar congratulated the actress on his Instagram Story. “So proud of you @sharvari,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD director Nag Ashwin secured the seventh position on the list. Kamal Haasan, who plays the Supreme Yaskin in the Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD, has risen from the 55th spot to the 19th, following the release of the dystopian sci-fi film on June 27.
Keerthy Suresh, who has voiced Prabhas’s AI sidekick Bujji in Kalki 2898 AD, also features on the list at the 21st place. Kalki actress Disha Patani secured the fourth spot, with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan coming in at eighth and 15th positions respectively.
Sharvari is set to star next in Nikkhil Advani’s Vedaa alongside John Abraham, Tamannaah Bhatia and Abhishek Banerjee. The film is currently in its post-production stage.
