Dancer-actor Shantanu Maheshwari, who stepped into the big league with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi alongside Alia Bhatt, recently starred in a fashion film, Beyond the Light, by designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. In a front-open sherwani, Shantanu looks dapper in the film, with a distinct kohl-eyed makeup. Shantanu posts a behind-the-scenes video to share his experience.

‘What an experience this was… my first-ever fashion film with the legends of Indian fashion… who have been my inspiration since my childhood… Thank you for this opportunity @sandeepkhosla and @abujani1 sir… Your humble nature has further inspired me to remember my roots and culture... I’ve never imagined myself wearing the designs you made me wear... and to pull it off was only because you'll show your trust and conviction in me… this was way out of my comfort zone but I’m glad you'll make me take up the challenge… Thank you all for the love and appreciation...’ wrote Shantanu on Instagram.
