Shakira’s upcoming studio album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, will consist of 16 tracks, including a collaboration with American rapper Cardi B, revealed the Colombian pop star in an Instagram post on Friday.
The upcoming album, slated to release on March 22, will also feature eight new singles and seven previously released collaborative tracks with Rauw Alejandro, Manuel Turizo, Ozuna, Fuerza Regida and Karol G.
“So happy to reveal the tracklisting and INCREDIBLE collaborators for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (some you already knew about, some you didn’t yet!). Just over 3 weeks till it drops,” the Hips Don’t Lie singer wrote on Instagram alongside pictures of a vinyl cover of the album and banners displaying the tracklist on top of buildings.
Shakira and Cardi B’s collaboration — an original and a vinyl version of a song titled Punteria — was first teased when the duo met at a fashion show in Paris last year. The album will also include a remix version of Shakira and Bizarrap’s Music Sessions Vol. 53 by DJ Tiësto, which recently bagged two awards at the Grammys.
Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran marks the 12th studio album by the Colombian singer. Her last album El Dorado was released on May 26, 2017, which was mostly sung in Spanish.
Last year, Shakira received two Latin Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and Best Pop Song for Music Sessions Vol. 53. The Whenever, Wherever singer was also honoured with the Vanguard Award for her lifetime achievement in music at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
