R. Madhavan’s malevolent sorcerer takes the centre stage in the music video of Aisa Main Shaitaan, the first song from Vikas Bahl’s upcoming supernatural drama Shaitaan, dropped on Thursday.

Also featuring Ajay Devgn as Kabir, Jyotika as Kabir’s wife and Janki Bodiwala as their daughter Janhvi, the music video offers a glimpse of the antagonist’s hubris.

Synchronised with the pulsating rhythm of the track are glimpses from the film's trailer, which the makers unveiled on February 22. The music intensifies as the sorcerer gains complete control over Janhvi, wreaking havoc on Kabir's family.

Chaos ensues as Janhvi attacks her parents and younger brother. Interwoven with scenes of Janhvi's possession are clips showing Madhavan walking among mummified figures, dragging one behind him.

The atmosphere becomes tense as Kabir and his wife confront the sorcerer while their house appears to be engulfed in flames. The video, which also showcases voodoo dolls and other necromancy-related objects, concludes with the family collectively standing against the sorcerer.

Penned by Kumaar, Aisa Main Shaitaan is sung by Raftaar.

Shaitaan — jointly produced by Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak — follows a couple’s fight against a sorcerer who possesses their daughter.

Shaitaan is slated to hit the screens on March 8.
