Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde's action-thriller Deva, which was previously slated to release on February 14 next year, will hit theatres on January 31, 2025, the makers announced on Wednesday.

In the movie, Shahid is set to essay the role of a brilliant but defiant police officer, while Hegde is portraying a journalist. “Around a brilliant yet rebellious police officer who uncovers a web of deceit and betrayal while investigating a high-profile case,” reads the official synopsis of Deva on IMDb.

Helmed by Salute and Kayamkulam Kochunni director Rosshan Andrrews, the film also stars Pavail Gulati, Kubbra Sait and Pravessh Rana in pivotal roles.

Shahid was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya alongside Kriti Sanon. Pooja Hegde's most recent release was the 2023 action film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, where she starred alongside Salman Khan.
