Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya maintained a decent hold at the box office on its third day of release, raking in Rs 10.50 crore nett on Sunday, according to latest figures from the industry data-tracking website Sacnilk.
The romantic drama recorded an overall occupancy rate of 24.65 per cent on Sunday, with significant contributions from the evening shows.
With Sunday’s earnings, the film’s three-day total box office collection now stands at Rs 26.85 crore nett. After registering a decent opening at the box office with Rs 6.70 crore nett on February 9, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya went on to amass Rs 9.65 crore nett on Saturday.
The Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah-helmed romantic drama faces the crucial Monday test today, with the film’s performance at the box office hinging on positive word of mouth, as per industry experts.
Shahid Kapoor portrays the character of an engineer who falls in love with a robot, played by Kriti Sanon, in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. The makers have hinted at a possible sequel of this rom-com starring Janhvi Kapoor in a post-credits scene in the film.
The film, produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande and Laxman Utekar, also features Dimple Kapadia, Rakesh Bedi, Rajesh Kumar, Ashish Verma and Anubha Fatehpura in pivotal roles.
