The three Khans of Bollywood danced to the beats of Naatu Naatu, while Kareena Kapoor raised the roof with her electrifying thumkas at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s three-day-long pre-wedding celebrations. The event also saw Akon working the crowd with his 2011 blockbuster Chammak Challo and industrialist Mukesh Ambani shaking a leg with wife Nita Ambani in Gujarat’s Jamnagar.
Raising the temperature on Day 2 of the celebrations were Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. Embracing one another, they grooved to the beats of the Oscar-winning RRR song Naatu Naatu. Videos circulating on the internet show the trio performing the hook steps of their own chartbusters including the towel step from Jeene ke Hain Chaar Din (2005).
Next up, soon-to-be-parents Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh stole the show with their dynamic garba. While the Fighter actress dazzled in a golden suit, Ranveer was nattily dressed in a black sherwani adorned with a blue wing pattern in the front.
After Rihanna on Day 1, it was Hass Hass singer Diljit Dosanjh’s turn to bring the house down with his powerful vocals the following day. However, what captivated the crowd most was Kareena Kapoor Khan’s performance with the singer. Accompanied by her husband Saif Ali Khan on stage, Bebo channelled her inner Pooh as she grooved to the beats of Diljit’s 2013 track Proper Patola in a metallic sari.
Both Dosanjh and Kareena are currently awaiting the release of Rajesh Krishnan’s Crew, which will mark their second collaboration after Udta Punjab (2016).
While the Bollywood stars were busy spreading their charm, internet personality Orhan Awatramani, a.k.a. Orry, did not leave his opportunity to astonish. A video shared by a fan account shows him vibing with Rihanna.
Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were among the various Bollywood couples who graced Anant and Radhika’s pre-wedding extravaganza with their presence. The couple let their hair down while Deepika and Ranveer delivered a fiery performance on Gallan Goodiyaan.
Day 3 festivities peaked when the Grammy-nominated singer Akon set the dance floor ablaze with his live rendition of Chammak Challo from Ra.One. The video shared by the hip hop star shows Anant and Radhika dancing like there is no tomorrow, Shah Rukh shaking a leg with his daughter Suhana Khan and Salman beating the drums.
Adding to the glitz and glamour of the event was the business tycoon Mukesh Ambani himself. Dressed in a blue sherwani, Ambani performed a romantic number with his wife Nita Ambani, who looked gorgeous in a shimmery beige sari. The audience erupted into loud cheers as the couple danced hand in hand to the classic tunes of Pyar Hua Ikrar Hua from the 1955 musical comedy Shri 420.
