Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which released in cinemas on January 25, continues to smash box office records as the spy action thriller collected Rs 36 crore nett on its third day, taking the film’s collections to Rs 163 crore nett, according to Box Office India.
The Siddarth Anand directorial, which also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, has already minted Rs 313 crore gross at the worldwide box office.
The spy action thriller reported a humongous opening, raking in Rs 55 crore nett on Day One and Rs 70 crore nett on Day 2 at the Indian box office. Despite the expected drop in earnings on the third day, which was a working day on Friday, the action thriller is likely to witness a rise in collections over the weekend.
Pathaan, the fourth film in the YRF spy universe, has also reported the highest collections by an Indian film in three days, beating the record of KGF: Chapter 2 (2022) at Rs 140 crore nett and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017) at Rs 127 crore nett. It has also scripted history by becoming the first Hindi film to gross more than Rs 100 crore gross at the global box office on Day One.
