Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan has raked in a whopping Rs 21 crore through advance bookings, with close to 7.5 lakh tickets sold for shows across leading cinema chains on the opening day of the film, highlight figures with box office data management platforms.
According to box office data tracking platform Sacnilk, a total of 7,41,958 tickets have been sold for the film so far. The Hindi market led the charge with 6,75,735 tickets sold in the 2D format, while 13,268 viewers opted for the IMAX experience, its report said.
The Tamil and Telugu markets also contributed significantly, with 28,945 and 24,010 tickets sold, respectively, bringing the film's total earnings from advance bookings to an astonishing Rs 21.14 crore from ticket sales for Day 1.
The Atlee-directed action film is currently on track to meet an astounding target of Rs 40 crore from advance bookings alone. Shah Rukh’s previous release Pathaan secured Rs 32 crore through advance bookings and went on to register an all-India opening of Rs 57 crore.
According to trade predictions, Jawan could outperform these figures with an opening of more than Rs 65 crore — the highest for any Hindi film till date.
Shah Rukh took to X (previously Twitter) to share the advance booking status along with a poster of the upcoming film and captioned it, “Main punya hoon ya paap…. Ab jo bhi hoon….2 Din mein aapke paas hoon.”
