Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is all set to cross the Rs 500-crore mark at the domestic box office as the Atlee-helmed action-entertainer has managed to generate a colossal Rs 493.63 crore nett within 12 days of its theatrical release in India.
On its second Monday in theatres, Jawan continued to earn in double digits, amassing Rs 16.25 crore nett at the domestic box office. The film, also featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in key roles, has also grossed an impressive Rs 858 crore worldwide so far. It is expected to surpass the Rs 900-crore milestone soon.
After opening with a jaw-dropping Rs 75 crore nett on September 7, Jawan earned Rs 53.23 crore on Day 2, followed by a sensational first-weekend collection of Rs 158.83 crore. The film continued its robust performance throughout the weekdays, garnering an estimated Rs 103 crore from Monday to Thursday in India.
As the film entered its second week in theatres, it continued to exhibit its drawing power, amassing an impressive haul of Rs 20 crore nett on the second Friday, followed by Rs 32 crore nett on the second Saturday and Rs 36 crore nett on the second Sunday.
Produced by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan also boasts a lineup of talented actors, including Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra. It also features cameos by Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt.
