After a phenomenal extended opening week, Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan crossed the Rs 700-crore mark worldwide yesterday. The Atlee-helmed actioner achieved the milestone in nine days, same as Shah Rukh’s previous hit Pathaan.

According to Box Office India, Jawan’s worldwide gross stands at Rs 735 crore on the ninth day. After raking in Rs 389 crore nett in the extended first week at the domestic box office, Jawan added another Rs 21 crore nett to its collection on the second Friday, taking the film’s total earnings so far to Rs 410 crore nett in India. Pathaan had collected Rs 364 crore during the same period.

Jawan opened with a jaw-dropping Rs 75 crore across all languages in India. The momentum continued unabated, with earnings of Rs 53.23 crore nett on Day 2, followed by a weekend collection of Rs 158.83 crore.

The action thriller, also featuring Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in significant roles, remained strong over the weekdays as well, raking in approximately Rs 103 crore nett from Monday to Thursday at the domestic box office. With no major Bollywood releases competing against it this week, Jawan is poised to maintain its astonishing draw in the second week as well, according to trade analysts.

Jawan also features an ensemble supporting cast including Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra and Sunil Grover. Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt make special appearances in the film.
