Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan becomes first Hindi film to breach Rs 1100-crore mark worldwide

The Atlee-helmed actioner has minted Rs 619.92 crore nett in India so far

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan has become the first Hindi film ever to cross the Rs 1100-crore mark worldwide, solidifying its position as the highest-grossing Indian film of the year.

The news was shared by Red Chillies Entertainment on social media on Friday evening. “Jawan. Making & breaking box office records every day! 🔥 Book your tickets now! Watch #Jawan in cinemas - in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu,” the production house wrote on X, formerly Twitter, alongside a poster featuring Shah Rukh.

Also featuring Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles, the Atlee-helmed actioner has so far amassed a total of Rs 1103 crore gross worldwide. The domestic box office contributed Rs 733 crore gross towards the humongous amount, while Rs 369 crore gross came from overseas.

In India, the Shah Rukh-starrer has minted Rs 619.92 crore nett in all languages (Rs 560.03 crore nett in Hindi and Rs 59.89 crore nett in Tamil and Telugu versions).

Jawan’s star-studded supporting cast includes Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan, and Aaliyah Qureishi. Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt made cameos in the actioner.
