Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan becomes fastest film to cross Rs 350-crore mark in India, beats Pathaan and Gadar 2

The Atlee-helmed actioner also crossed the Rs 600-crore milestone worldwide on Tuesday

Shah Rukh Khan’s action thriller Jawan has breached the Rs 350-crore mark at the domestic box office in its first week in theatres, becoming the first-ever Indian film to do so by beating 2023 blockbusters Pathaan and Gadar 2, which achieved the feat in nine days and 10 days, respectively, as per trade records.

The Atlee-helmed actioner, which hit theatres on September 7, has so far earned a staggering total of Rs 368 crore at the domestic box office.

Jawan showcased its box office dominance from Day 1 itself, with an astounding opening day collection of Rs 75 crore nett across all languages in India. It went on to earn Rs 53.23 crore nett on Day 2, followed by Rs 158.83 crore nett over the first weekend. The film remained strong on its first Monday and raked in Rs 32.92 crore nett. On Tuesday, it added another Rs 26 crore nett to its collection.

As per trade reports, Jawan minted Rs 23.3 crore nett in India on Wednesday, taking the film's total collection at the domestic box office to an impressive Rs 368 crore nett.

The film's success isn't confined to Indian shores alone. Jawan has also raced past the Rs 600-crore mark in worldwide collections within just one week of its release, solidifying its status as a global blockbuster.

Alongside Shah Rukh, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi feature in pivotal roles in Jawan. Shah Rukh’s Pathaan co-star Deepika Padukone plays a cameo in the film as well. Additionally, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan and Aaliyah Qureishi form Shah Rukh’s girl gang in the film.
