Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki has officially made its digital debut on Netflix on Wednesday on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, the streaming giant announced on social media.
“Pack your bags! After a Dunki around the world, @iamsrk is coming home. Dunki, now streaming on Netflix,” the streamer wrote on Twitter alongside a poster of the Rajkumar Hirani-helmed dramedy.
Also featuring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal, the movie’s digital arrival follows its successful theatrical run, which began on December 21. The maiden collaboration between Shah Rukh and Hirani, Dunki’s story revolves around a group of individuals who choose the ‘donkey route’ to emigrate to London from India.
Shah Rukh, who took a hiatus from the silver screen for five years, made a triumphant return in 2023 with three blockbusters — Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. While Pathaan raked in Rs 1050 crore globally, Jawan minted Rs 1160 crore in worldwide earnings.
According to industry data-tracking website Sacnilk, Dunki has garnered Rs 227 crore nett domestically. Red Chillies Entertainment, the production house behind the film, reports a worldwide gross of Rs 470.60 crore.
While Jawan and Dunki are currently streaming on Netflix, Pathaan found its home on Amazon Prime Video.
