Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan witnessed a surge in collections on Thursday, the 22nd day of its release, owing to the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi holiday coupled with the ‘buy 1 get 1’ offer on the film’s tickets.
The Atlee-helmed actioner reported earnings of Rs 5.5 crore nett on Thursday, higher than the film's earnings of Rs 4.9 crore nett on Tuesday and Rs 5.1 crore nett on Wednesday, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
The movie's lifetime domestic total now stands at an astounding Rs 583.85 crore nett. Jawan has already surpassed Pathaan’s lifetime domestic collection of Rs 543 crore nett, solidifying its position as the biggest Bollywood movie of all time in the domestic market.
Globally, Jawan has amassed an astonishing Rs 1030 crore gross, just Rs 20 crore shy of eclipsing Pathaan’s lifetime worldwide gross of Rs 1050 crore. Shah Rukh Khan now holds the remarkable distinction of delivering two Rs 1000-crore-plus grossers in the same year.
Jawan has shattered numerous records throughout its theatrical run, setting new benchmarks for the biggest opening day (Rs 65 crore nett), opening weekend (Rs 252 crore nett) and opening week (Rs 348 crore nett) for a Hindi movie. It also emerged as the fastest Hindi film to breach the Rs 100 crore (2 days), Rs 200 crore (4 days), Rs 300 crore (6 days), Rs 400 crore (9 days), and Rs 500 crore (18 days) milestones.
