The OTT version of Pathaan will have several deleted scenes, director Siddharth Anand had hinted in a recent interview. Those scenes would mostly focus on the background of Pathaan, his family and how he became a RAW agent.
Also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, Pathaan released in theatres worldwide on January 25. The spy-action thriller has emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film (original language) of all time with a net domestic collection of more than Rs 540 crore. The film has grossed a whopping Rs 1,048 crore across the globe.
The fourth film in the Yash Raj Productions’ spy universe, Pathaan marks Shah Rukh’s return to the big screen after a gap of four years. He plays a RAW agent in the film while Jim (John Abraham) is the antagonist. Salman Khan’s cameo in Pathaan, as Tiger, has also won praises from the audience.
