Siddharth Anand’s spy action thriller Pathaan, headlined by Shah Rukh Khan, has grossed Rs 591 crore worldwide in six days.
The film collected Rs 26.50 crore nett in India on Monday, taking the domestic total collection to Rs 307 crore nett, according to Box Office India. The action thriller also reportedly raked in recorded Rs 224.6 crore nett in the overseas market.
Pathaan reported a humongous opening on the day of its release, fetching Rs 55 crore nett at the box office. The collections increased on the second day (Rs 70 crore nett). Despite a fall in earnings on the first Friday (Rs 35 crore nett), the film made a splash over the weekend, collecting Rs 123 crore nett.
The fourth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe has been smashing box office records since its release on January 25. It became the first Indian film to collect Rs 100 crore in worldwide gross on the first day. Pathaan has also emerged as the fastest Indian film to enter the Rs 200 crore club, beating the likes of KGF: Chapter 2 and Baahubali: The Conclusion.
However, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer, also featuring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, fell behind Baahubali: The Conclusion (Rs 40.25 crore), Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs 36.54 crore), Housefull 4 (Rs 34.56 crore), Krrish (Rs 33.41 crore) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 27.05 crore) in terms of the first Monday collections, though it managed to earn more than KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 25 crore) on the first Monday.
