The music rights of Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan’s second film of the year, has been sold to T-Series for a record-breaking sum of Rs 36 crore ahead of its release on September 7, according to Box Office Worldwide.
Securing the coveted music rights for the upcoming action thriller saw intense competition among major players in the industry, but T-Series emerged victorious with their staggering bid. The music of Jawan has been scored by Anirudh Ravichander.
Directed by Atlee Kumar, Jawan sees Shah Rukh’s action hero avatar alongside Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. The movie also features Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh’s co-star from Pathaan in a cameo role.
There has been much excitement and anticipation around Jawan as Shah Rukh’s previous film, Pathaan, emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film ever, grossing Rs 1050 crore worldwide.
Shah Rukh will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, which is slated to hit the screens in December 2023. Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani and Satish Shah will play key roles in that film.
