Shah Rukh Khan’s family is his “emotional weak point”, the actor said in an Ask SRK session on X on Saturday, adding that the song Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se from his upcoming film Dunki reminds the 58-year-old of his parents, old friends and Delhi days.

“You made us so emotional with this song. What's your emotional weak point? #AskSRK,” inquired the fan. To this, Shah Rukh responded, “My family I guess ... .isn't that that for everyone. #Dunki.”

In a particularly touching moment during the session, a fan expressed how the Dunki song Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se resonated with memories of home. Responding to this sentiment, Shah Rukh wrote, “Yes, it really makes me think about my parents, my Delhi days, and friends made and lost in time. Very emotional."

Shah Rukh is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Dunki, his first project with director Rajkumar Hirani. During the session, he revealed that he knew little about Dunki before signing the film, “Actually hardly anything. Raju and Abhijaat brought it to my knowledge. It’s fascinating….dangerous and quite an overwhelming experience to have learnt about it and portray parts of it. #Dunki,” he wrote in reply to a fan’s question about how much he knew about the film before signing it.

The actor's humility and candid responses during the AskSRK session provided fans with a glimpse into his genuine and unfiltered connection with his craft. When a fan said he was more excited for Dunki because it was helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, Shah Rukh had a fabulous response.

“And that’s the right reason. I am also excited to be in a Raju film. Films are a directors medium….hero toh aate jaate rehte hain! #Dunki,” the Jawan actor replied.

Shah Rukh also offered a glimpse into his culinary preferences, disclosing that Chole Bhature holds the top spot as his favorite Punjabi dish. The Bollywood icon further shared that he indulged in Paranthas while filming Dunki in Punjab.

"Sir since the film is set in Punjab. What are your favourite Punjabi dishes. #ASKSRK," a fan had asked the actor. "I eat Paranthas…in plural!! And also chola bhatura my favourite. #Dunki," came SRK's reply.

Responding to another fan's question regarding his action-packed roles, Shah Rukh conveyed his genuine fondness for such roles, stating, "I actually really like this….for a romantic hero to be wielding a gun so big in all films!!! #Dunki”.

Shah Rukh also demonstrated his penchant for humour when a fan asked the actor whether he has tried his hand at roller skating like his daughter Suhana Khan. For the unversed, Suhana — who will be making her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies — has recently featured in a song wearing roller blades.

Shah Rukh replied, “Never ever I have tried it a few times and fallen on my butt!!! I will leave skating to Suhana, she is really good at it.”
